The Thermalform® Breast Gel Pack offers gentle relief after breast cancer surgery or invasive procedures.
Cold and warm therapy help reduce post-surgery swelling and bruising by treating the swollen and bruised areas of the breast. The Breast Gel Pack's contoured shape and innovative Magic Ice™ interior comfortably conform to your breast and distribute even treatment.
Cold therapy slows the blood flow to an injured area, and can be highly effective in reducing swelling. A cold Breast Gel Pack helps to relieve the sensations of pain and restores strength to affected areas.
Following the surgical procedure, your doctor may recommend applying constant cold therapy on the skin for the first 72 hours. The Thermalform® Breast Gel Pack is more comfortable and easier to use than an ice pack, frozen peas, or other cold pack solutions because it's patented shape was specifically designed to contour to the breast.
Warm therapy helps to break down bruising discoloration while providing moisture or dry heat to areas of discomfort. Warm therapy can also be soothing on sore tissues. Your physician may recommend warm therapy on bruises beginning 2-3 days post-surgery.
