After a breast reduction procedure, the breasts will be firm. This is caused by swelling, or fluid retention in the breast tissues. This is a natural reaction to a wound of any sort, and is your body's way of repairing itself.
Use Thermalform®’s Breast Gel Pack as a cool compress to help reduce the swelling and bruising in the first 48 hours. After those 48 hours, use the Breast Gel Pack as a warm (but not hot) compress. This will help improve circulation.
