How to Use the Thermalform® Breast Gel Pack

Thermalform® Breast Gel Packs are simple and safe to use. You can use them alone, or under a bra.

Always place a cloth between the Breast Gel Pack and your skin.

Cool Therapy

For tender, swollen breasts resulting from surgery, or during and after breastfeeding:

Cooling in fridge1. Place the gel pack in the freezer for 2 hours. You can also store it in the freezer so it’s ready when you need it.

2. Apply to the breasts for 15-30 minutes for relief.

3. Repeat as needed. Re-chill in the freezer for 2 hours between use. The Thermalform® Breast Gel Pack comes in packages of two, so you can keep one pack cool while using the other.

Warm Therapy

Heating in Micro1. When the gel pack is at room temperature, place it in the microwave and heat on high for 30-second intervals until it reaches the desired temperature. DO NOT heat the gel pack longer than the recommended time. This is a safety precaution to protect you from a burn.

2.
Before applying to the breast, test the pack on the back of your hand to ensure a comfortable temperature.

3.
To reheat the gel pack, place it in the microwave and heat on HIGH for 10-second intervals, testing the pack after each interval for the desired temperature.

Precautions

  • Do not place the Breast Gel Pack directly on the skin. Always use a cloth between the gel pack and skin.
  • Warm/cool therapy should not be used by people with circulatory problems, hot or cold hypersensitivity, weakened or absent sensation of temperature, sensitive skin, or hypertension, except under the direct supervision of a health care professional.
  • Unattended use of warm/cool therapy by children or incapacitated persons may lead to injury.
  • Extended treatment of cool therapy, or using the Breast Gel Pack without a cloth, may lead to frostbite and possibly nerve damage.

Warnings

Do not poke with sharp objects. Sharp objects may tear or puncture the film. Do not boil the Breast Gel Pack. Do not overheat in a microwave oven, or use in a conventional oven. Do not bite the Breast Gel Pack. Do not eat or ingest the Magic Ice™.
